Annual Dance Competition
Annual Dance Competition 2019-20 was held on 21 January 2020 for classes I-VI and on 23 January 2020 for classes VII- IX. The fun filled extravaganza offered classical,traditional and western dance performances. All the participants were very energetic and performed their dance forms enthusiastically.Participants were scrutinized on the basis of Choreography,Costume,Expressions and Make-up.
General Knowledge Quiz
G.K Quiz Competition 2019-20 for classes I-V was organised on 24 January 2020.The quiz comprised of Audio Visual Round, MCQ Round,Entertainment Round, ,Mental Ability and Rapid Fire. Even in audience round students answered questions quickly and skillfully. Though some of the questions were very tricky, both the teams of little ones tried to answer them with confidence. The questions put forth to the teams were intriguing, exciting and made the audience clap when the teams answered correctly.The little participants as well as the audience thoroughly enjoyed these rounds that tested how proficient they were with the world around them. There were two participating teams : Team I and Team II. Team I won the GK Quiz Junior Group
Inter house G.K Quiz Competition from classes VI to VIII was organized on 6 December 2019. Students of Jawa house and Bali house answered the quiz questions in MCQ round, rapid fire round, audio visual round and entertainment round wisely.In audience round, students answered quiz questions. Jawa House won the Middle Group Inter house GK Quiz competition 2019.
Inter house G.K Quiz Competition from class IX to XII was organized in two phases; Preliminary round in the form of MCQs was held on 18 October 2019 and In final round on 25 October 2019 students of Jawa house and Bali house answered the quiz questions in MCQ round, rapid fire round and audio visual round wisely. In treasure hunt round both the teams showed their skills of problem solving and presence of mind. In audience round, students answered quiz questions. Jawa1 won Senior Group Inter- house G. K Quiz competition 2019
Hindi Spelling Bee Competition
Hindi Spelling Bee Competition for classes III to X was conducted on 21 November 2019 where from classes III to V questions(Fill in the blanks) based on adjectives,proper verbs,proper pronouns,difficult words,synonyms and homonyms were given to the students .From classes VI to X questions on Samas, Muhaware,Sandhi,Upsarg,Pratyay etc were given in which students picked the chits and wrote the mentioned word on the board. Student who wrote highest number of correct spellings was declared Bee in each group.
Hindi Competitions (Various Categories)
Healthy Competitions enhance the learning process and help students to develop confidence, improve vocabulary and also help students get rid of stage fear. Keeping this in mind Hindi Competitions were organized on 14 October 2019 from class I to XII in various categories. Students of classes I and II recited melodious poetries and made the judges spell bound with their clarity of speech. Students of class III-V narrated short stories confidently and with proper intonation and modulation of voice. Class VI-XII delivered the speech on the topics viz. “ Khan Pan ki Badalti Tasveer”, “ Yadi Mai Karorepati Hota/Hoti”, “ Swasth Bharat”, “ Sainik Ka Jeevan”, “ Buzurgo Ke Prati Yuva Piri Ke Dayitva”, Ujjwal Bhavishya Ke LiyeVigyan Ke Atirikt Anya Vikalp Bhi Hai” respectively. Their persuasive tone in delivering their view point spell bound the listeners and judges. All the winners of different categories got felicitated with certificate
Music competition for the students from classes I-XII was held on 28 August 2019.Students were judged for choice of their song, melody, rhythm and presentation of the singing of songs. Various genres like regional, English and Hindi songs were chosen by the students and they proved their grit in solo singing.
English Spelling Competition
English Spelling Bee 2019 was organized for the students from classes III-XII in two phases. Preliminary round was conducted on 7th August in which students attempted 20 MCQs on ticking correct spellings. First two highest scorers from each class were selected for final round which was held on 14 August 2019. There were four groups of finalists and each group comprised of two or three classes. Bee in each group was selected on the basis of maximum number of correctly played words in three rounds of Final English Spelling Bee.
English Competitions (Various Categories)
English competition was held for classes III to XII on 8 May 2019. Students of classes III-V narrated stories like “The Wise Man” and “The Story of Number Zero” with clarity and proper voice modulation. Classes VI-VIII delivered speech on the topics “The World would be a Better Place if………..”, “Importance of Sports in Students’ Life” and “Plastic Bags should be Banned.” Their intonation and delivery skills were appreciated by the judges. Classes IX-XII participated in debate competition. Classes IX and X debated on the topic “Robots reduce Employment Opportunities” and classes XI and XII debated on the topic, “Human Cloning should be allowed.” Judges appreciated the logical relevant competent and well explained stances of the debaters. All the first and second position holders received certificates in special assembly by Principal, Mrs. Anjali Bhatnagar

Art And Craft Competition ( Earth Day)
To promote and demonstrate environmental awareness and calls for the protection of our planet; DPS Indonesia celebrated Earth Day on 23 April 2019. The day began with special assembly followed by tree plantation. Mr. Dexter Kennedy, Pro Vice Chairman, DPS, Indonesia and Mr. Vipin Kumar, member management board planted saplings in the campus. Each student of classes III to XII along with their class teachers also planted saplings. To mark the occasion an Art and Craft Competition was also organized from classes III to XII. Classes III to V Filled and found the words related to Earth Day in scrabble sheet; and also drew paintings. Classes VI-X made beautiful items like Flower Vase, Wall Hangings and Pen Stand etc. out of waste material like plastic bottles, newspapers, straws, ice cream sticks etc. Classes XI-XII solved Scrabble and wrote slogans on the Earth Day. Overall, the event was an overwhelming experience for students and staff.
